Interim Superintendent Steve Betando notified the Board of Trustees that he accepted the recommendation of the Evergreen School District Superintendent’s School Consolidation Advisory Committee to recommend O.B. Whaley for closure/consolidation at the end of the 2022-23 school year. The Board of Trustees will not take action on this matter until the May 12, 2022 Board of Trustees Meeting.

Board of Trustees will receive an update on the options that were presented to them at the February 10, 2022 Board Meeting and will discuss future steps in regards to school consolidation. The Board will also receive an update on the March 2 School Consolidation Superintendent Advisory Committee (SCSAC) meeting with recent data, and stakeholders/ community feedback that's been received so far.
