School Consolidation (Dove Hill/Laurelwood)
Evergreen School District understands that the school consolidation process is met with many questions and concerns by our community. Each of our schools serve as a community, a place where—in addition to delivering high quality educational services—positive memories are made by parents, students and staff members, and stand as a place of consistency in our communities.
The District will be working closely with the community throughout the school consolidation process. We will provide our families opportunities for input during the process, including community information sessions.
School consolidation will help Evergreen schools stay strong by closing a $12 million deficit and addressing declines in school enrollment. In doing so, we can ensure that our schools maintain the level of excellence that our families expect for our students and support innovative learning in the classroom so that our students are prepared for a highly competitive global society.
