Evergreen Model Program
The Evergreen Model Program is a one-year program of job embedded professional growth in which teachers refine and enhance teaching skills through a participation in coaching cycles. The credentialed teacher is matched with an experienced teacher who is their mentor for one year. The Evergreen Model focuses on providing just in time support within the professional work setting. The purpose of program is to support each teacher in a collaborative learning community.
The Evergreen School District believes that providing new teachers with mentor support is essential to our teachers' professional growth. Mentors provide just in time support to colleagues, helping them to transition to the new assignment.
Teachers with a clear credential who are new to the Evergreen School District are eligible to participate in the Evergreen Model. Participants in the program receive one year of mentor support to guide their transition to their new assignment.
