"Please donate your unwanted new toys/books from the holidays by Valentine's Day. You will be helping the kids at the shelters See The Rainbows again!!!" The Rainbow Valentine's Toy Drive project is brought to us by a former student named Ryan. He started donating toys from his birthday parties six years ago. He would also spend his piggy bank money to buy new toys, along with the presents he received during Christmas for the children at Shelters. His younger brother Aaron joined him a couple years ago in donating to the shelters. They feel for what these children have to go through everyday, their daily struggles on necessities such as food & shelter and sometimes their safety. Click on the headline to read more...

Parents of 6th graders - you will need to provide documentation that your child had a Tdap (whooping cough) booster shot given on or after 7 years old. Our goal is to have ALL 6th grade students provide this documentation before the end of May. If you haven't done so already, check your child's immunization record or call your physician to find out when they last had a Tdap vaccination. Once the shot is completed, bring in the immunization record to the school office so we can document that the requirement has been completed. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL SUMMER TO COMPLETE THIS REQUIREMENT.

Well, you will have to do it for a while to establish the routine. But over time you might find that you have to change it up to keep it fresh, or add new expectations for changing situations for example, learning to play an instrument, or adding a pet to the family. Should kids just behave because they're earning a sticker? Of course not! A point or sticker is just a token. The real payoff is the positive interaction.

School zones are put in place to ensure the safety of children in and around schools. While class is in session, drivers are responsible for maintaining safety and awareness on the streets surrounding schools. All children should be able to walk to and from class without fear of being hit by passing vehicles.

Box tops are great for schools as our school receives 10 cents for each qualified box top. Each box top must show it's expiration date and not be expired, and there is a 4 letter code on the top right-hand corner that must be seen. Send your box tops into Office and earn money for our school.

Reminder that school starts at 8:15 am which means the students need to be in their line when the bell rings to be considered on time. The Forum doors will close promptly at 8:15 am forcing all late students to go through the office to get a tardy slip. Multiple tardy notices may result in a district generated truancy letter. Please make sure your student arrives to school prior to the 8:15 am morning bell to avoid the risk of being tardy. Being late can start a child's day off on the wrong foot. Not only does a student who is consistently late to school establish bad punctuality habits, their tardiness also disrupts the learning of other students in their classes and they often miss out on important opening announcements and academic activities.
