Kian G. from Ms. Giacomini's 5th grade class has launched the first ever podcast series for Silver Oak called "Eye of the Sabercat". Episode 3 is now available and includes interviews with 4th grade teacher Ms. Price and Evergreen School District Board Trustee Bonnie Mace. Happy listening!

October's Project Cornerstone book title is "The Invisible Boy", by Trudy Ludwig. This month's story focuses on empathy and how to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships. Cornerstone classrooms will discuss how they can practice empathy in their interactions, and make others feel heard, invited and included.

This year's Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place November 17-19. On November 18 there will be no school, and on November 17 & 19, online learning will end at lunchtime. Your child's teacher will be in touch regarding signing up for specific time slots for your conference, and will provide details on how to meet.
