Posted 10/19/2020 03:45PM

Silver Oak Red Ribbon Spirit Week is Oct 26 - 30!

Red Ribbon Week - Be Happy Be Brave Be Drug Free

Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free! This is the theme of the 2020's National Red Ribbon Week campaign. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week.

Each year, the National Red Ribbon campaign runs the last week and a half of October. Silver Oak is proud to participate in our own version of Red Ribbon Week starting Monday, 10/26 through Friday, 10/30. We celebrate and observe this important initiative with a spirit week to educate and encourage our children to be drug-free, and encouraging them to always find support.

This year our daily themes for the week include:

MON, 10/26 - ALOHA DAY
Let's "lei" off drugs!... wear Hawaiian attire today!

TUES, 10/27 - SPORTS DAY
Let's team up against drugs!... wear your favorite team's apparel

WED, 10/28 - RED RIBBON DAY
Proud to be Drug-Free!... wear RED today!
Come by the school in your RED ATTIRE, and take a photo by a Red Ribbon Week Banner for our slideshow!
(Banners will be located on the back club fence, bus loop and flagpole parking lot)

THURS, 10/29 - SCHOOL PRIDE DAY
Our school is too cool for drugs!... wear school colors (white, teal, black)

FRI, 10/30 - COSTUME DAY
