Dear Evergreen Community,
As we head into this Thanksgiving season, I am filled with heartfelt gratitude for our students, employees, families and community. This has been the most difficult year for our society. Families, communities, and our nation have lost so much. Yet, despite this adversity, our Evergreen learning community has not just survived, it has persevered with strength and boldness.
First, thank you to our youngest community members--our students--for staying strong and dedicated to learning despite our distance and lack of face to face connection with teachers and friends. We know this is not easy, but each of us is inspired by their tenacity, and it is because of this that we continue to strive to do the best for our students.
Next, we are so grateful to our teachers, certificated staff and paraeducators. Each of you show up each day, work though fires, power outages and technology problems, and yet, still deliver high quality learning for our students. You find creative and engaging ways to cultivate our students' love for learning and keep them connected, despite the distance.
We also thank our classified staff, our backbone, thank you for coming together to support our teachers and students. You help to keep our students and our families nourished, our campuses safe and healthy for our staff, and support all of our efforts to keep our community connected.
The leadership of our site and district leaders, your support of students, staff and community is noticeable, and we are grateful for everything that you do to keep our schools operating smoothly and to continue to support each of our schools' sense of community.
And, to our parents and community: we cannot do this without your support, and we are absolutely blessed to have you as our partner in serving our students. Thank you for having faith in Evergreen School District and for trusting us with the education of your precious children.
Together, we are a stronger Evergreen community, and on behalf of the Evergreen School District Board of Trustees, I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving week with your loved ones. May you stay safe and healthy.
