Practicing Mindfulness with Children

Now that we are spending a lot more time in isolation, which can be especially emotionally hard on our children, a wonderful way to positively fill time with them is by practicing mindfulness. Mindfulness is simply noticing what is happening in the present moment. It is being aware of what you see, smell, taste and/or how your body feels.

There is strong evidence that mindfulness positively affects one's social-emotional, mental and physical well-being. It improves sleep and self-esteem, while providing a sense of calmness. Additionally, it can help reduce worry, anxiety and stress.
