We are pleased to share that the District and the Evergreen Teachers Association have reached a tentative labor agreement. This agreement brings an end to the Impasse Process. The District is pleased to have reached this agreement through mediation and marks an important step forward for our community. This agreement reflects a shared commitment to collaboration, respect, and the success of our students.

The District is continuing negotiations with the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and is hopeful that an agreement will be reached in the days to come. As our partners, our teachers - along with our staff, parents, community members, and most importantly our students, have a stake in the fiscal reality that we face as a district. We will now turn our focus to the implementation of the Fiscal Stabilization Plan that was approved by our Board of Trustees on October 8, 2025. This plan provides the roadmap for reductions to the district budget that need to be made over the next three years. This plan is necessary in order to address the impacts of declining enrollment in our schools, which has resulted in decreased funding, in addition to a decrease in state and federal funding.
