Enrollment

• Families must be living at their new address within ESD boundaries at the time of registration. If you are still transitioning between addresses, enrollment cannot be completed until the new address becomes your primary residence.

• School assignment is based on the parent or legal guardian’s residential address within a designated school boundary (school of residence).
• Enrollment priority is determined by the date enrollment is completed, not the date the application is submitted. Enrollment is complete only after all required documents are submitted and a confirmation email is sent by district staff.
• All transitional kindergarten students must submit a new registration. Students in grades K-8 who are currently enrolled in ESD do not need to enroll again.
• If your child lives outside of ESD boundaries, you must request an Interdistrict Transfer before enrolling.

Every effort will be made to place new students at their school of residence. However, the district cannot guarantee placement at that school and may assign students to another ESD school if grade-level capacity is reached. Students who are overflowed to another school may be provided transportation from their school of residence to the assigned school and back. Overflowed students will return to their school of residence the following school year or when space becomes available.
