How to Enroll

You may enroll your child in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2024-2025 school year if his/her birthdate falls between September 2, 2019 through June 2, 2020.

TK is offered at selected schools throughout the district.  Please enroll your child at your school of residence even if that school does not offer a TK program.  After enrollment, you will be notified of the school your child will attend.  If your school of residence does not offer a TK program, every attempt will be made to place your child at the nearest school offering a TK program.

Steps for enrolling in Transitional Kindergarten:

1. Carefully review TK Registration Requirements.
2. Review the registration process for students new to ESD.  Collect the required documents, immunization records, and physician's signatures needed for registration.
3. Enroll your child at your home school of residence using the online registration system.

You may enroll your child in kindergarten if he/she will turn 5 before September 1 of the current year.

ESD's Homeschooling program, Virtual Pathways and Pods4Learning, is available to all students in grades TK-8. 

Steps for enrolling in Virtual Pathways or Pods4Learning:

1. Carefully review the homeschooling program to understand if it is right for your family.
2. Request enrollment by completing this Intent to Enroll. Print and email this completed form to the program you are interested in:
   • Pods4Learning@eesd.org (TK-K)
   • VirtualPathways@eesd.org (Grades 1-8)
3. If your child is NOT currently enrolled in a ESD school, please enroll him/her using the online registration system for students new to ESD.
4. Families confirmed in the program will sign a parent agreement at the beginning of each school year.

ESD is offering a Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program at Holly Oak Elementary School. Admission is based on lottery.

Steps for enrolling in the Dual Language Program:

1. Carefully review the Dual Language Immersion program to understand if it is right for your child.
2. Request enrollment by completing this Intent to Register Form.
3. If your child is NOT currently enrolled in a ESD school or program, enroll him/her using the online registration system for students new to ESD.

Bulldog Tech is a Project Based Learning (PBL) program housed at LeyVa Middle School for students in grades 7-8. Admission is based on lottery.

Lobo School of Innovation (LSI) is a Project Based Learning (PBL) program housed at Quimby Oak Middle School for students in grades 7-8.  Students who live within the Quimby Oak attendance area will have priority over students who are attending schools outside of Quimby Oak's attendance area.
