Board of Trustees
Welcome to the Board of Trustees! The Evergreen School District Board of Trustees is a five-member governing body elected at large to serve four-year terms. As the official policy-making body for the District, the Board is charged with providing the best possible education for Evergreen students. Our work is guided by community input and conducted in strict accordance with state and federal laws.
To ensure the district operates effectively and remains focused on student success, the Board holds several key responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Adoption of the annual budget and approval of all district expenditures.
- Personnel & Leadership: Employment of all district personnel to support our schools.
- Curriculum & Facilities: Approval of textbooks, courses of study, and curriculum, as well as overseeing facility plans and construction contracts.
Note on Governance: While the Board provides high-level oversight, official action can only be taken during formal sessions when a majority of members are present. Meetings are typically held once or twice a month and are open to the public. See Board Meetings for more information.
