Superintendent's Message

I want to thank each of our students, families, teachers, and staff members for ensuring that the 2025-2026 school year got off to a smooth and successful start. District leaders, including our Board of Trustees, were excited to visit and support several schools, and I was pleased to visit school sites and see the joy, energy, and enthusiasm from everyone at our schools.

One of my top priorities for the district is to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all students, including English Language Learners (ELL). Our goal is that all English Language Learners, including immigrant students, attain English proficiency and meet the challenging state standards. I am excited to work with highly dedicated, expert teachers, administrators, and support staff.

Through our parent and community partnerships, we provide all of our students with an excellent education. Our Master Plan for English Learners details how we will ensure success for our English learners. With approximately 20% of our student population being English learners, it is critical that we articulate how we will meet their needs. Our Master Plan is our guide to assist all schools in the development, access to the core curriculum, and promotion of multicultural proficiency.
