SAVE THE DATE! Cadwallader Families, Cadwallader Alumni's, and Cadwallader Community are invited to celebrate Cadwallader who turned 50 last year. We invite you to come and share our 50 years of success as we celebrate the past and look forward to the future on Friday, May 12th from 3PM - 5PM.. The celebration will include a historical speaker who will be giving us an insight into what life was like in the early Evergreen days and also history about who the school is named after. We will be having some 1960's dances and games, including a scavenger hunt and trivia. Also we will have the old time capsule dug up for display and a suggestion box for ideas into putting in a new time capsule. There are many more fun activities on the agenda including a slide show, photo booth, t-shirt design competition, and tile decorating, Food trucks will be available during the program with a live dj. Come join us at Municipal Stadium for a fun evening of baseball. The San Jose Giants are the farm team for the San Francisco Giants and many of their players have moved up to the major league. It's a wonderful stadium where you can really see the players up close. Cadwwallader has a large block of tickets available for only $7.00 each. One lucky student will be chosen by Friday, May 5th to either throw out the first pitch or participate in an activity on the field. Building Peaceful Families is having its annual "Top Dads Essay Contest" for children ages 5-17 years old. Please see the attached flier and application for details.The deadline for the Top Dads Essay contest is April 30! There will be 50 winners. The winners and their dads/father figures will be our guests at a special awards luncheon on June 25th, 2017. Each will receive a Certificate of Excellence and an Academic Medallion. Their father/father figure will receive a certificate and have their name and picture featured at City Hall as a 2017 Top Dad recipient.

San Jose Giant Race (5K Run with the San Jose Giants) Join our Cadwallader Running Club for the San Jose Giant's 5K Run on Saturday, June 3rd. All of Cadwallader can sign up for this 5K race, but students must attend with their parents. Don't think you are up for running it? That's okay...you can walk. Driving law regarding U-turns: According to California Vehicle Code Section 22103, it is illegal to make a U-turn in a residential district when another vehicle is approaching from either direction within 200 feet except at an intersection controlled by a traffic control device. No U-Turns should be made during drop off or pick up time with crowded cars in the street.
