PTA is in serious need of parent volunteers. We need at least one parent from each class to volunteer at one of the events the PTA organizes. Some of the events at which you are needed are: Our Spring Fundraiser – Delivering products to classrooms Movie Nights - The next one is January 20, 2017 Book Faire - April Reading at Home If we do not get help with our spring fundraiser to earn money for the school, in the future we could lose the following benefits the PTA provides to your children: Book Faires Future Arts Now (after school Hip Hop Dance) Emergency Classroom snacks Field Trip Sponsorships (5th grade science camp) Testing breakfast for the kids We also need parents to attend PTA meetings. The next meeting is on January 10, 2017. Parents are invited to the Principal's Meet and Greet Coffee Hour on December 9 at 8:05 – 9:00.
The safety of all who attend Montgomery is of great concern to staff and parents, therefore, your personal cooperation and commitment is needed to observe the following: Children may not arrive at school before 7:30 a.m. Supervision begins at 7:30 a.m. daily and the cafeteria opens at the same time. Supervision of children ends at 2:15 p.m. on regular days and at 1:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Children may not be on campus after school hours, unless they are with their parent, under the direct supervision of a teacher, or involved in a school-approved activity.
