Full Day Kindergarten
If a student is registered to attend another school in the District, parents may apply for School Choice. The School Choice Transfer Application Period ran Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 19, was followed by a lottery for the limited number of available spaces, of those who submit their applications to District Office (3188 Quimby Road) in that window. Requests submitted after the initial lottery were placed on a waiting list and will be processed in a timely manner.
Families may register for Transitional Kindergarten if your child will turn five between September 2, 2017 and December 2, 2017. Registration packets for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten will be available at your child’s home school when schools reopen in August. A child’s home school may be found using our school locator. Please note that in addition to the registration packet, parents must have the following items:
- Proof of residence: Three pieces of original documentation are required. (Four pieces of original documentation at our impacted schools- Tom Matsumoto and Carolyn Clark) To view acceptable forms please click here.
- An original birth certificate or other legal document showing date of birth (i.e. Passport)
- Immunization record (California schools enforce a “no shots, no school” policy.)
The 2018-2019 school year will see all of our elementary schools in the final phase of full day transition.
