This Week's Spelling Rule:
Words with prefixes and roots
consists, construct, contained, included, insist, inspired
Capitalization:
Proper nouns: places, titles of people, organizations, religions, languages, nationalities
Proper Adjectives
The pronoun "I"
First Words: in sentences, of lines of poetry
Punctuation:
Commas: in addresses, with quotations, for items in a series,
Semicolons: in compound sentences
Periods: with abbreviated titles
Quotation marks: with questions and exclamations; with divided quotations
End marks: with declaratives; with imperatives
Grammar:
Plurals: nouns ending in s, x, sh, or ch
Pronoun case: of subjects; of objects of prepositions
Run-on sentences
Verb tense: regular past tense
Agreement: of subjects and verbs
Articles: the vs. a or an
