         There will be no school on Monday, September 6th in honor of our National Labor Day Holiday.  Enjoy the long weekend!

First Grade B-12

Back To School Night:  It was great to meet and talk with you at Back To School Night.  We had a very successful turn out (100%, WOW!).  It just shows how much you support your child and want to be part of their educational experience.  I’m so excited about this year!

Volunteers:  Thank you to Shanta’s dad for being our Project Cornerstone volunteer and to Thomas’ mom for being our Arts Attack volunteer.  We also have volunteers for our laptop cart too! I will contact classroom volunteers by arrangement.  Please feel free to contact me too.  Thanks again for your support!

Donations:  Thanks for the donations of time, money and supplies!  Don’t forget to join our wonderful JFS PTA.

Reading At Home (RAH): Our monthly “Reading at Home” program has begun.  September RAH forms or notes will be due on Friday, October 1st.  Book Charms will be awarded on this day.  If you have misplaced you form, just send me a note or email on Oct. 1st.

Online Book Orders:  September book orders will be sent home in the Friday Folder.  Online ordering is due by Sept. 10th.  The activation code is GLK3P.

Picture Day:  Tuesday, September 14 will be School Picture Day.  Information and order forms will be sent home prior to this day.

Field Trip:  Our first field trip will be to the Evergreen School District Central Kitchen on Tuesday, September 21 from 9:00am-10:30am.  I will send home permission slips next week.

PTA Movie Night:  Mark your calendar for the 9th annual PTA Movie Night on Friday, September 17.  Complete details will be sent home in the Friday Folder.  (Food orders are due by Friday, Sept. 10th) This is a great family fun night for all and remember admission is free!
