   The "Teacher Times" auction is online this year and not at the annual “Under The Tuscan Moon” dinner auction.  Visit www.jfs-pta.org for the link to bid on Teacher Times.  Look for Mr. Schorr's 1st Grade Teacher Time and others too!  Bidding closes on Thursday, February 9th.

B-12 First Grade

B-12 Top Cat Student of the Week:  Janet is our JFS Top Cat Student of The Week!   Janet’s favorite color is light blue.  She loves to eat cheese pizza.  Janet enjoys playing tennis with her mom and dad.  Janet would like to be a veterinarian and help cats and dogs when she grows up. She loves to go to her grandmother’s house and visit there.  Janet also has a pet dog named Bell.  We enjoyed learning all about Janet this week!

100th Day Homework:  The 100 Day Collections look fabulous!  Thanks for your help and support! 

JFS Science Fair:  I have sent home information about the JFS Science Fair.  Please read the letter and return it if you would like a Science Fair Packet with more information.  Please contact me if you have any questions.  Participation is optional.

JFS Science Fair Important Dates:

Friday, February 3:  Proposals due to Mr. Schorr

Wednesday, February 29:  Science Fair Projects due to B-12

Wednesday, March 7:  Science Fair Family viewing @ JFS, 7pm

Field Trip:  We will be going on a field trip to the California Sports Center on Monday, February 13th.  I will send home complete information in this week’s Friday Folder.

SAVE THE DATE:  Our 4th annual “Under The Tuscan Moon” dinner auction fundraising event will be on Friday, February 10th @ The Ranch Golf Club.  Please RSVP by Friday, February 3rd.  (This event usually sells out!)

WOW!  If you get a chance to come by the JFS School Lobby, you can preview some of the completed projects that will be at the auction event.  They look fantastic!

Presidents Break:  There will be no school February 20-24 in honor of our Presidents’ Day Holiday and Break.  School resumes on Monday, February 27.

Science Fair Projects:  Science Fair Projects are due to B-12 on Wednesday, February 29, .

February Reading At Home (RAH):   Please return the form, a note or email on Thursday, March 1st.  Students will receive a “book charm” on this day.  Happy Reading!

SAVE THE DATE:  Our annual JFS PTA Multi-Cultural Night is on Friday, March 23rd.  This will be a fun family potluck with cultural booths and performances.  Please contact the JFS PTA if you are able to help or plan.  There will be a planning meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7th @ 7pm in the multi-prupose room.
