Science Fair projects are due next week on Monday, March 8. Students will need to give a short oral presentation about their project explaining what they did and what they learned.  This talk is a major part of their science grade.  They should rehearse this presentation at home.  Most importantly, they should be able to say what scientific question was answered, if applicable, and what they learned.
Our field trip to the Mountain View Theater to see “Willie Wonka” is coming up on March 19. Permission forms were sent home today.
In reading, we are preparing for the Theme 3 test which will be given over two days, Thursday and Friday. We are reviewing grammar skills and comprehension strategies.
In writing, we are beginning narrative, by writing a haunted house story. Students have made a haunted house and filled it with creepy creatures. They are including these creatures in their story.
In math, we are multiplying a 3-digit numbers by a one-digit one.
Our class is almost done learning their letters in cursive. There will be a cursive test on Friday. Students who pass will receive an award and will be allowed to write in cursive.
