	Principal's Message Jeff Smith As this year progresses the planned improvements funded by bond measure I, will become reality at Evergreen School.  The need for a bigger and modern multi-purpose room became very evident at our recent International Night.  It was a great turn out but it pointed out the limitations of our current multipurpose room. Grading and utilities for the new construction will begin this February over the President’s Holiday.  These nine new “Green Classrooms” and new multi-purpose room are scheduled to be ready for the  2010 -2011 school year.  There will be changes in the parking lot and the sidewalks surrounding it to make it safer and more convenient for pick-up and drop-off.  The parking lot reconfiguring will take place this summer after school is out.  These physical improvements will make the buildings and the site a modern and appealing place for the community.  Our staff will continue to maintain the academic performance standards that have become a tradition at Evergreen during all of this construction. As you can see there will be many changes that will bring Evergreen up to the status of “flagship school facility” for the entire district.  Our thanks again to the community for funding the bond measure a few years ago, and for it’s support of this year’s parcel tax, measure “T”, that will maintain the integrity of existing programs at all of our schools.
